On Time Fab, Inc., a metal fabrication shop founded in 2008 was acquired by Zedwick Holdings, LLC on January 23, 2025. Over the years, On Time Fab had grown from a two-man operation in a small garage shop to employ more than 30 people working in both shop and field operations. In that time, On Time Fab had built a reputation for delivering high-quality fabrication and installation services to Owensboro, KY and surrounding areas.
Craig Zedwick, the owner of Zedwick Holdings, LLC, is a chemical engineer with more than 25 years of experience with process design, optimization, and operations management. As he puts it:
“I’ve been working toward owning my own business for more than a decade. I wanted to find a manufacturing business that would benefit from my extensive experience with Lean Six Sigma, Quality Systems, and Operations Management. On Time Fab is a perfect fit!”
Since this ownership transition, a number of key improvements and hires have been made:
- Full-time Quality Control personnel
- Detailed SOPs for fabrication processes and equipment operation
- Internal training certifications for each piece of equipment
- Shop scheduling and planning software
- New Shop Operations Manager
- New Field Operations Manager
- Developed project kick-off and close-out checklists
The goal is to establish a strong foundation upon which On Time Fab can grow from a small, local shop into a mid-sized company with documented policies and practices.
